On 27 February, at 4:27 a.m., the first tram travelled from Nowodwory to the Młociny underground station. It took tram number two 14 minutes to reach the end of the extended route.

This year’s winter holidays, similarly to the previous years, attracted nearly 11 thousand children to events organised as part of “Winter in the City”. The programme provided numerous attractions in winter-holidays educational facilities and hundreds of other locations around Warsaw.

The city is looking for a partner to manage the eastern Mirów Hall, the so-called “Guard Hall” (Hala Gwardii). It is expected to become a modern market hall combined with a local meeting centre. In mid January, anyone interested in the hall was able to come and visit the place.

Starting from 12 January 2017, when the December Resolution of the City Council entered into force, the residents could apply for funding to replace their obsolete coal fires with new, gas-powered, sources of heat.

The measures undertaken by the capital city to improve air quality have been going on for several years in three sectors – transport, ecology, and energy. In the years to come, projects in this field are to receive PLN 16 billion from the city budget.

This is already the 55th nursery school. The new facility in Rembertów at S. Fiszera St. places 150 places for children; its construction and furnishing cost PLN 5.5 million. This week the children started their adaptation classes there.

The tenement house at 40 Targowa St. has undergone major redevelopment. This was yet another project on the right bank of the Vistula. Just near the tenement house, there are the Warsaw Praga Museum and the Targowa Creativity Centre.
