The most popular name for a boy among parents is invariably Jan, followed by Antoni and Jakub. Last year, the number of births in the capital city increased, while the number of marriages fell.

The Fitch Ratings Agency has assigned a Long-Term Local-Currency Issuer-Default Rating of A to the City of Warsaw. It is the highest-possible score, and equal to Poland's rating. Moody's affirmed the rating of Warsaw’s creditworthiness at A2 on the international scale, with a stable outlook.
