    The Varsovians chose the 2022 Warsaw Woman of the Year. This year's winner of the plebiscite is the educator Małgorzata Szumowska. During the ceremonial gala at the Polin Museum of Polish Jews, she received the statuette from the Mayor of the City of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski. The special distinction was given to Wanda Traczyk-Stawska, who was awarded the title of the Female Varsovian of Generations.

    Five exceptionally strong festival sections: a retrospective of masterpieces by Taiwanese master Edward Yang, Hong Kong cinematography from the last 25 years, Japanese films to put people into good mood, New Asia Cinema and Asian Cinerama, i.e. the films of masters. The stationary edition of the Five Flavours Asian Film Festival (PL- Azjatycki Festiwal Filmowy Pięciu Smaków) will begin on Wednesday and last until November 23.

    Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Oczyszczania (EN- Municipal Cleaning Company) in the City of Warsaw has thoroughly renovated one of its garbage trucks. Today, the repaired vehicle was handed over to the Ukrainian municipality of Wyhoda, which during the first period of the war welcomed residents from the eastern part of the country.

    Warsaw’s council members have passed a resolution on further subsidies for the in vitro method infertility treatment program. The city has secured over PLN 40 mil. for another, 3-year period of the program. Nearly 1700 children were born thanks to the in vitro program since 2017.
