Warsaw Music Week is a new initiative intended to revive the metropolitan music stage. For the whole week, September 17th-25th, Warsaw clubs (for example 1500m2, Cafe Kulturalna, Hydrozagadka, Kamieniołomy, Powiększenie, Palladium) host ed Polish and foreign artists on their stages.

Among the artists there were lots of foreign stars like Unkle (United Kingdom), Ladytron (UK), DJ Falcon (France), Deadbeat (Canada), Pole (Germany), Hanne Hukkelberg (Norway), Gravenhurst (UK), Matthew Shipp & Joe Morris (United States), Rubix Offonoff (Norway), Earl Greyhound (United States), Fare soldi (Italy) and many Polish artists.

The event is inspired by Liverpool Music Week and implemented in partnership with the British. Warsaw Music Week is also a cultural exchange between the two cities by means of presenting Polish musicians in UK’s clubs and British ones on the Warsaw’s stages.

The project was implemented with Warsaw running for the title of European Capital of Culture 2016.
