Warsaw keeps a high level in finance

This is the 9th year in a row in which Warsaw receives the highest credit scoring possible. International rating agency, Moody’s Investors Service the credit scoring of the Capital City of Warsaw at the level of A2 with a stable perspective.

Maintenance of such a high rating by Warsaw is possible as a result of, among others, preserving the adequate level of funds for implementation of current and investment tasks; active budget management and fiscal discipline, contributing to improvement in operational and financial result; reducing the level of indebtedness and adequate financial liquidity. The rating also considers improvement in the current performance thanks to higher tax receipts, effective control of expenditures and budget discipline.

Such a high credit scoring of Warsaw means the possibility of obtaining funding for city investments at the lowest possible market cost. Thanks to cheaper funding, Warsaw may develop faster. It also means that public funds from the inhabitants of the capital are utilized effectively and safely.

The rating at the level of A2 of Moody’s Investors Service international rating is the highest possible foreign credit scoring of a local government unit in Poland and is equal to the country rating.
