How Witkacy may attract a Mexican? How to find Rome in Warsaw? How to make a toast in Caucasus way? How to feel in Warsaw like at home, which is ... Paris, Vilnius or Tokyo?

In the weekend of October 9-10 the answers were given by "Varsovians out of this world," who have tied their lives with Poland – actually with Warsaw.

The program of the festival included "lessons out of this world", meetings, film screenings, festival events and jam sessions "on the drums".

The meetings were held in the History Meeting House (Dom Spotkań z Historią), Wizytki Square and in the Stock Bottles (Skład Butelek).

About the festival

Varsovians out of this world! was the inaugural festival of a project Multinational Warsaw 1945-1989 dedicated to the foreigners who came to Poland in communist times and settled down here especially in Warsaw, contributing the same to the revival of the tradition of multi-ethnicity and the multinational nature of the city.

The project is organized by History Meeting House, conducted in cooperation with the Historical Institute of Warsaw.

The project is implemented with Warsaw running for the title of European Capital of Culture 2016.
