
The festival will take place on 21-29 October 2022 in Kinoteka. This year's edition of the festival will also be held online from 1 to 14 November on the VOD Warszawa platform.
UKRAINE! The Film Festival (opens in a new tab) is the only Ukrainian film festival in Poland. This year, the seventh edition is being organized. As part of the programme more than 50 films will be shown, including new feature films, documentaries, short films and animated films, as well as the best films awarded at festivals, which have been made in Ukraine in recent years.
This year's festival will consist of the following sections:
- Faces of Ukraine
- Stories of women
- The art of freedom
- Mariupol
The festival will be accompanied by meetings with filmmakers after film screenings, as well as a debate: Women of the film in Ukraine – meeting with Ukrainian filmmakers and experts, presentation of animations for children – fairy tales and games with children's entertainers for the youngest viewers, a concert of the Ukrainian band and an exhibition of drawings by Anatoly Lyutyuk, a former anti-Soviet activist, today a monk living among people, as well as an artist.
During the festival, an audience plebiscite will be announced. The audience will choose the best film of the festival.
This year, for the second time, there will be a competition for the best short film, for which almost 150 films have applied.
