On August 7th the opening ceremony was held at the Legia Stadium at Łazienkowska Street.

The opening match was played between the teams of Legia Warsaw and Arsenal London (5:6).

The new Legia stadium meets the highest standards of UEFA. It is a modern multifunctional and fully covered venue with 31,000 seats and comfortable business zone for more than 1,000 audience. Moreover, this brand new location at Lazienkowska street offers a wide network of restaurants, a museum, fan shop, fitness center and rehabilitation clinic.

- Thanks to the authorities of the City of Warsaw, this newly constructed stadium is modern, multi-functional, safe and comfortable, and will surely constitute a good showcase of our capital city. It is undoubtedly one of the most functional sports facilities in Poland and Europe. This stadium is a dream which came true for the inhabitants of Warsaw and whole Mazovia region. - wrote the organizer.
