The Multimedia Fountain Park was opened in Warsaw Castle Grounds (Podzamcze) near the Old Town (Stare Miasto). Light, sound, water, fire, and words entwined together during the premiere performance entitled “The magic of the elements”.
The performance was accompanied by the dancers' acrobatics, both on the ground and in the air, light and pyrotechnical shows. The fountains danced to the rhythm of specially-chosen music, and the narrative was based on “Metamorphoses” by Ovid, “Theogony” by Hesiod, “Paradise Lost” by Milton, and “The book of Urizen” by Blake.
Multimedia performances will take place in the Multimedia Fountain Park throughout summer, each Saturday evening. Three programmes telling the story of the capital city have been prepared - “The Modern Warsaw”, “Chopin's Warsaw”, and “The Warsaw Tales” - and you can watch them against the water screen.
