Once again, the residents have applied for the funds in order to implement projects in environmental protection. 210 Warsaw residents will receive financial support for projects consisting of the removal of cesspools. This way, more properties will be connected to the City’s sewerage system.
The City has approved a list of undertakings aimed at environmental protection and water management which will be co-financed. 210 investments, involving the removal of household cesspools, were entered onto the list. The works will mostly be implemented in Wawer and are due to be completed by the end of 2017.
The applications, also involving other undertakings aimed at environmental protection, were submitted till the end of March. It is also possible to obtain co-financing for the disposal and treatment of asbestos, the use of local renewable energy sources and the upgrade of boiler rooms.
Nearly 5 thousand households benefitted from the grant programme between 2007 and 2016. During that period, over PLN 12.1 million was allocated for subsidising the removal of cesspools (4043 grants), and over 4.7 million for the disposal and treatment of asbestos-containing products (424 grants).
