The Night of Museums is a special day of the year, when it is especially worth putting otter matters aside and going with the family or friends to the city. As many as 202 Warsaw institutions have prepared a special offer for visitors on Saturday, May 14.
202 institutions throughout Warsaw. A rich offer of open air events. Special museum lines and extended public transport time. Warsaw is ready for the eighteenth edition of the Night of Museums. I hope you are as well. See you on Saturday, May 14! – encourages Rafał Trzaskowski, Mayor of the Capital City of Warsaw.
Attractions throughout the city
As in previous years, not only museums or institutions associated with culture, but also those that are not obvious and often inaccessible on a daily basis, take part in the Night of Museums. On Saturday, it will be possible to take a walk through the ruins of the Babice Radio Station in the Bemowski Forest or discover the nooks and crannies of the Iluzjon cinema. At the Parade Square there will be an interactive installation taking visitors into the world of art, thanks to which each participant will be able to see their photo in the form of a well-known painting.
Open air and online events
The city also encourages to participate in outdoor events, of which there will be as many as 84 this year - open air exhibitions, night walks in gardens, or concerts, for example at the Fryderyk Chopin Museum.
There is an online offer for those who prefer to participate in the Night of the Museum without leaving their home. 20 institutions have prepared a special, virtual program. It will be possible to virtually visit the Wedel Factory, take a walk around the construction site of the Museum of Modern Art, or take a tour of the Warsaw Uprising Museum.
Museum Night in Ukrainian
This year's night action will also constitute an opportunity to spend time together with guests from Ukraine, who are staying in many Warsaw homes.
With them in mind, a guide was also planned in Ukrainian, and 34 institutions have prepared a special program, for example, a guided tour of the Museum of Warsaw in Ukrainian, or night painting at the Royal Łazienki Museum – announces Deputy Mayor Aldona Machnowska-Góra, who also presented the offer of the Night of Museums 2022.
