The Labrador Parade needed 300 dogs to claimed this record, and to the surprise of organizers they gathered twice more.

August, 29th Sunday noon. Barking dogs woke up people living in Warsaw downtown. More than 700 Labradors of various colors walked down the streets Świętokrzyska and Nowy Świat, Jerozolimskie Avenue and Marszałkowska St. to claimed the Guinness World Record.

The attempt to claim the Record was taken during a charity event called the 2nd Parade of Labradors within the program "Let's help together" ["Pomóżmy razem"]. The organizers invited all Labrador owners, lovers and carers to take part in the Parade. The Parade is a unique initiative organized as a part of the program "Pomóżmy razem", formed by organizations which train dogs for needful people.

The Guinness World Record in the category of "The biggest walk of dogs of the same breed" was claimed. All the dogs that took part in the claimed record were of the Labrador Retriever breed. The Parade's route lead through the streets of the city centre of Warsaw and was 5 km long (Guinness World Records condition: minimum 4.8km).

Every few meters there was the station for dogs to take some water. There was also the possibility to get access to free veterinary advice and learn more about this dog breed.

The minimal number of dogs needed to claim the record amounted to 300. 700 dogs of the same breed, Labrador Retriever, took part in the parade. Money collected during the parade will be transferred to the training of dogs helping the blind people, rescue dogs and dog assisting during the rehabilitation.
