On 24 February, a public meeting was held to discuss the opportunities of volunteering for young adults, following a series of European Open Lectures. The meeting "Eurovoluntary – an interesting starting point in adulthood " was organized by the European Funds Department along with the European Direct Information Point – Warsaw.

The European Voluntary Service Projects are designed to nurture responsible and dedicated young adults through the institutions and organizations of the EU Member State or an accession country.

In other words, the Eurovoluntary Service allows a young adult to become a volunteer in another country for a specified period of time. The service activities can be, for instance, in the field of environment, arts and culture, and so on.

Moreover, each project has three parts, a volunteer, a sending organisation and a host organisation. Such projects are helpful in promoting not only valuable practical experiences, but also provide an opportunity to explore the selected countries.
