After twelve months of renovation and modernization we can finally see the new image of Grzybowski Square.
Modern illumination, architecture, the new green spots and pond with waterfall – this is what you can see there now. Changed Grzybowski Square became an opportunity to walk for the Mayor of the City, Ms. Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz and Mayor of the District of Śródmieście, Mr. Wojciech Bartelski in the company of many people gathered.
Modernization included the entire area with particular emphasis on the square’s lawn. The sidewalks on the Twarda Street were rebuilt also.
In 2008 there was a competition for the project, which gave in the end of 2009 an agreement signed for the implementation with Mostostal Warszawa S.A. The work was funded by the Board of Public Areas and Board of Municipal Roads.
