In accordance with the decision of the Minister of Health, COVID-19 booster vaccination is starting today. Every adult person who received the second dose (or a single dose vaccine) at least 6 months ago can be vaccinated. You can get vaccinated at any vaccination centre, regardless of where you live or where you have been vaccinated previously.

Vaccination is the only way for COVID-19 to finally stop threatening our health and lives. The residents of the capital are perfectly aware of this, which is why almost 70 percent of them are already fully vaccinated. From now on all those who received the vaccine at least six months ago can receive a booster dose. The government has finally given us such an opportunity. Warsaw vaccination centres are ready for it and they are waiting for those willing to be vaccinated with the third dose. We are going to remind all the citizens about it, and that is why we are starting another round of the information campaign called Warsaw vaccinates, said Mayor of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski.

Warsaw vaccinates – another edition of the information campaign

"The number of coronavirus patients who are admitted to city hospitals is growing rapidly, and nearly 70 percent of them are unvaccinated. Among patients in the most serious condition, under ventilators, 90 percent are not vaccinated. These data clearly show that in the case of COVID-19 infection, the vaccine increases the chances of survival enormously," said Renata Kaznowska, the Deputy Mayor of the City of Warsaw.

To counteract the SARS-CoV-2 virus pandemic, Warsaw has launched nearly 80 vaccination points, including 4 general vaccination points, holiday points, and outdoor points for outdoor events. The capital has also been conducting a vaccination campaign for schoolchildren, organising swab points where COVID-19 tests can be performed, and conducting information campaigns for residents.

I also encourage you to get vaccinated with another dose in one of several dozen municipal vaccination centres under the supervision of qualified medical staff. If you have not received a vaccine yet, we urge you to do so as soon as possible. Latest information on COVID-19 vaccination points in Warsaw can be found on, added Deputy Mayor Kaznowska.

Vaccination schedule with a booster dose

According to the guidelines of the Ministry of Health, the third booster dose can be administered to all persons who are 18 years of age or older and have received the full vaccination schedule (two doses) with the following preparations:

Booster dose vaccinations will include the following preparations: Comirnaty (Pfizer-BioNTech) and Spikevax (Moderna).
