Do you have some close relatives abroad? If so, persuade them into returning to their homeland and starting a businesses of their own in Warsaw.

The City of Warsaw gives 40 thousand PLN to emigrants who want to start their own business. The recruitment for the project “Become your own Boss in Poland” process was held from September 27th  to October 29th.

In addition to 40 thousand PLN non-repayable financial support to establish and operate their own business, the participants of the project "Be your boss in Poland." will also be provided with 1126 PLN monthly pay for six months since starting to run their business, participants will undergo professional trainings, workshops and individual counseling to prepare them before taking first steps in business. Throughout the first year of their business activity they are able to obtain help from consultants and advisers.

- It is a one of its kind project in Poland, which encourages emigrants to return back home and start their own businesses. With the support of the European Funds we can help people to make an important life decision and at the same time to support the Warsaw job market - said Michael Olszewski, Director of European Funds Department in Warsaw.

The project "Be your own boss in Poland" is carried out by the City Hall of Warsaw and the Academy of Finance and Management in Warsaw (Wyższa Szkoła Finansów i Zarządzania). The project is financed from the EU funds, under the Operational Program of Human Resources - Promoting the entrepreneurship and self-employment" and its implementation will last until the end of April 2012.
