The Assistance for Disabled Persons Division is running a number of activities for the support of persons with disabilities, in particular by cooperation with non-governmental organisations, cooperation with the Warsaw Family Support Centre, implementation of social projects.

The Assistance for Disabled Persons Division is running a number of activities for the support of persons with disabilities, in particular by:

  • cooperation with non-governmental organisations, entities listed in Article 3(3) of the Act of 24 April 2003 on Public Utility Activities and Volunteer Work, by commissioning tasks aimed at supporting persons with disabilities, i.a. by running support centres, clubs, sheltered housing, and by improving the social and/or vocational activity of persons with disabilities,
     
  • cooperation with the Warsaw Family Support Centre (Warsaw Centre for Persons with Disabilities) for the support of persons with disabilities, i.a. in the scope of co-financing Occupational Therapy Workshops, and providing funds for persons with disabilities in the sphere of social and vocational rehabilitation from the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons,
     
  • implementation of social projects, including also innovative projects, mostly financed from European Union Funds, and cooperation with other entities as part of partnerships established pursuant to Article 28a of the Act of 6 of December 2006 on the Principles of Implementing Development Policies.
