Wedla Avenue, behind the Powszechny Theatre, is to be transformed. The above-mentioned greenery patch will be renovated to commemorate the 25th anniversary of signing the Polish-German Treaty on Good Neighbourhood and Friendly Cooperation. On 25 November, a letter of intent was signed regarding this matter.

During a meeting at the Powszechny Theatre, Rofl Nikel, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, and Michał Olszewski, Deputy Mayor of Warsaw, signed a letter of intent regarding the renovation of Wedla Avenue, located near the Kamionkowskie Lake.

The initiative to create a park, under the project Green City, is to serve Varsovians as a concrete and inspiring manifestation of good neighbourly relations between the countries.
The investment is funded by the German Embassy and German and Polish enterprises – the partners in the project in Poland. The design will be prepared by the Coqui Małachowska Coqui firm in collaboration with the Praga-Południe District Environmental-Protection Department, the City of Warsaw, and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany.
