The contestants will run for certificates and records. The 9th RUNbertów Run starts on 17 October at 9 Kadrowa Street!
It is already for the ninth time that participants in the RUNbertów Run will try to top their personal bests. The event will include the Warsaw Open Academic Championships in street running and there will be events for children.
For participants in the main run, the route will be slightly adjusted to meet the requirements for a certificate. Rembertów has had some good performances on more than one occasion and it might be the case this time as well.
The event’s record among men from 2018 is 14:43 and it belongs to Jakub Nowak from 2018, and among women it is 16:56 and was claimed a year ago by Sabina Jarząbek.
The limit of participants in the 5-km run is 250. However, there is a chance that more runners will be allowed to take part, with the run being split into two rounds. Everything depends on how popular it is. A year ago, 211 people crossed the finish line, but already in 2019 there were almost three times as many runners. They will compete not only individually, but also as teams.
The 5-km competition will traditionally be preceded by "MiniRUNbertów – a run with mascots". This will be a series of runs at distances from 100 to 400 m, and the young runners will compete on a running track around the school playground. No doubt this is one of the most cheerful runs, and the much-beloved teddy bear will add extra energy at the finishing line. There is a limit of 200 participants.
The event is organised by AZS Warszawa and has been commissioned by the Rembertów District Office of the City of Warsaw. Partners of the event are: Aktywna Warszawa, Rembertów Team, BiegnijZwierzu.pl, Selgros, DMX Komputery and PrintPlus Active Wear.
